CONFIRMED UNTO THE END

I Corinthians 1: 4-9 "I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing you are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."

There are countless, fleshly fears that nag the believer in attempt to turn our eye from Christ our Righteousness to ourselves. Yet this prayer of Paul's on behalf of our Corinthian brethren serves as a good reminder that salvation is, from beginning to end, by the grace of God in our Lord Jesus Christ. It was by the grace of God that Christ Jesus was revealed to us. It was by the grace of God that Christ is established in us and we in him. In everything he has enriched us. All our understanding and utterance, patience and perseverance are by God's grace in Christ Jesus. Even so by the grace of God given us by Christ Jesus he shall establish us unto the end to present us blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. How unfaithful we are! But how faithful is our God, by whom we were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
